Volvo Cars - Volvo Prices
Volvo is a Swedish car maker that has a reputation for being innovative in the field of car safety, and they
have invented several safety features that most motorists take for granted today, such as the airbag and crumple
zones. They are often dubbed "The World's Safest Vehicle" and this has become the brand's unique selling point
over the years. The 2013 lineup offers a limited range of vehicles at reasonable prices, each with the Volvo
safety promise.
The Volvo C30 is a front wheel drive, 3-door hatchback that now comes with headlight washers and automatic rain
sensors as standard for 2013. It has a 2.5 liter turbocharged engine that produces 227 hp under the hood, hooked
up to either a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. Features include hands free phone capability, a
high-end sound system with HD radio, leather heated seats in the front and a powered moon-roof. ABS, emergency
braking assistance, plus front and side impact airbags also come as standard.

Unchanged from 2012, the Volvo C70 is a high-end luxury convertible with a
hardtop which under the hood boasts
a 227 hp producing 2.5 liter engine. The front wheel drive and 5 speed gearbox allow it to achieve a mpg range of
between 18 and 28 depending on urban or highway usage. As with the C30, the C70 comes with leather seats, headlight
washers and heated front seats. ABS, emergency braking assistance and anti-roll capability
are also included as is
the standard Volvo warranty that covers either 5 years or 50,000 miles.
For those of you who are looking to buy your first luxury sedan, then the 2013 Volvo S60 is worth a seriously
long look. Volvo has now released an all wheel drive T5 model to compliment the existing T6 model. The basic front
wheel drive T5 comes with a standard 2.5 liter turbo engine, whereas if you opt for the T6 then you will get a hood
busting 3.0 liter turbo V6 engine that produces 300 hp. The features contained within both models consist of heated
front leather seats, moon roof, blind spot indicator, a rear seat situated entertainment system and as always with
Volvo, plenty of safety features. These include ABS, distance alert and an advanced airbag system.
Another unaltered car for 2013 is the Volvo S80 which is a medium sized luxurious sedan that comes with two
engine choices. A standard 3.2 liter V6 that produces 240 hp and the beefier 3.0 liter V6 turbo that ups the horse
power to 300, and both come with AWD and FWD and these are coupled with a 6 speed automatic transmission. Features
include heated front and rear seats, a blind spot info system, headlight washers, and heated windscreen washers.
Safety features are plentiful as you would expect from Volvo and include cruise control that comes with distance
warning, a rear mounted camera for parking assistance, plenty of airbags and pedestrian protection.
The Volvo XC range includes the XC60, XC70 and XC90. Starting with the XC70 which now comes with automatic rain
sensors and headlamp washers as standard and this particular front wheel drive crossover comes with a standard 3.2
liter V6 240 hp producing engine. However, for those of you who want a bit more power, then you can opt for the
optional 3.0 liter turbo engine instead which ups the horse power up to 300.
Unchanged for this year, the XC70 is a medium sized crossover wagon that comes with a 3.2 liter V6 configured
engine as standard. Again there is the option to upgrade to the 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 for that extra power,
and both of these come with AWD.
Finally there comes the XC90 which has a whole new exterior and retooled interior for 2013. This medium sized
luxury crossover SUV has a 3.2 liter V6 engine under the hood and a 6 speed transmission. AWD comes as an optional
extra and the XC90 offers fuel consumption figures that are between 16 to 23 miles to the gallon depending on urban
or open road usage. All XC series cars come with a whole host of features and these include headlamp washers,
heated seats, climate control, front and rear parking assistance, and entertainment systems. They also have ABS,
airbags, anti-roll protection and side impact protection as standard, plus they are covered with the Volvo 5
year/50,000 mile warranty.
