Scion Cars - Scion Prices

Scion cars are manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation and they have rapidly established themselves as the new name in fashionable cars that began with their first model the Scion XB, back in 2004. Scion went after the novice car buyers who were looking for good value for their money and hassle-free purchasing as well as a wide range of optional extras to make their car a bit more unique. Scion has a tendency to market themselves to a younger driver, incorporating features like powerful sound systems to make themselves more attractive to these buyers. The 2013 lineup includes five models each with a range of optional upgrades in terms of body kits, custom exhausts and sound systems. The no-hassle buying process with Scion makes purchase a breeze, thus further appealing to the younger market demographic.

Brand new to the market for 2013 is the rear wheel drive coupe, the Scion FR-S which comes with a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter 200 hp engine under the hood. The standard transmission is the 6 speed manual; however, you can opt for a 6 speed auto transmission that comes with paddle shifters. Fuel mileage is an impressive 22 miles to the gallon for the city and 34 miles to the gallon out on the open highway, but this depends on the type of transmission selected. The Scion comes with many features fitted as standard, and these include projection beam headlamps, twin exhausts, USB connectivity, sport pedals, and collapsible rear seats. Safety has not been overlooked either; with anti lock braking, traction control, airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The 2013 Scion iQ is a small compact hatchback that only has seating for two, so it is the ideal car for those people who are unattached and do not need to worry about transporting children around town. It comes with a small 1.3 liter, 94 horse power producing engine that lets it achieve an excellent 36 miles to the gallon on city roads and 37 miles to the gallon on the open highway. Features included are a 4 speaker, HD radio sound system with steering wheel mounted controls and USB connectivity. The Scion iQ is one of the safest cars to drive and comes with multiple airbags, including front airbags, front knee airbags, side airbags that are mounted on the seats, seat cushion airbags and rear window airbag. There is also anti-lock braking, traction control and brake assistance, and it comes complete with a 36,000 mile or 3 year warranty.

The front wheel drive Scion tC is Scion's compact coupe that comes powered with a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter engine which produces an impressive 180 horse power. The Scion tC comes with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, and gives between 23 and 31 miles to the gallon depending on city or open highway use. There are style options too with the RS 8.0 version which comes in red and has black gloss wheels, push button ignition and a TRD body kit. Other features are power mirrors on the side that come with LED turn signals, chrome exhaust tips, moon-roof, USB and iPod connectivity, and sporty bucket seats in the front. Safety features include anti-lock brakes and traction control stability. There is also a first aid kit and an advanced airbag system, plus it comes with the standard Scion 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty.

Now offered with regular Wireless Bluetooth and optionally available TRD performance elements, the 2013 Scion xD is a five door hatchback sub-compact with a 4-cylinder 1.8-liter engine under the hood that generates 128 horsepower and 125 ft-lb of torque. Transmission possibilities include a typical 5-speed manual and elective 4-speed automatic transmission. Gas usage is an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 33 mpg highway for an average of 29 mpg. Some of the best standard features are:  chrome-tipped exhaust, air conditioning, multi-reflector halogen headlights, 60/40 rear seats that fold flat, power-assisted mirrors that have LED turn signal indicators, USB port with iPod® connectivity, and Pioneer audio system. Safety features include traction control, vehicle stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, advanced airbag system, and tire pressure monitoring system. The xD is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
