Mazda Cars - Mazda Prices

Mazda is a car manufacturer from Japan that has been making cars since 1920 and then officially started selling cars in the United States since 1970. Mazda manufactures trucks, sports utility vehicles, vans, and sports cars at a reasonable price and they are well known for developing the rotary engine.

A brand new Mazda release for 2013 is the CX-5 which is for those people looking for a smaller, more compact sports utility vehicle. This particular SUV is powered by a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter engine that produces 155 hp and comes with a manual transmission containing six speeds, although, the Touring and Grand Touring versions of the CX-5 come with a 6 gear automatic transmission. Front wheel drive comes as standard but the choice to upgrade to all wheel drive is offered as an option. Included within the car is a hands-free phone capability, as well as satellite navigation and push button start.

Meanwhile Mazda has brought the CX-9 full sized crossover, seven seat vehicle bang up to date with front wheel drive, a 3.7 liter engine in a V6 that gives out 273 hp. There is an option to upgrade to all wheel drive and this helps the CX-9 to offer between 16 to 24 miles to the gallon. Rollover protection, dual airbags, anti-lock braking, traction control and roll stability control make this one of the safest SUVs you can buy.

The Mazda 2 is for the most part, unchanged for 2013 and is a small five door hatchback that can seat up to five people. This is an ideal car for people with a small family and it is powered by a 1.5 liter engine that is controlled by a five speed manual or four speed automatic transmissions and this provides an impressive 28 to 35 miles to the gallon depending on urban or open road use and transmission selection. The Mazda 2 comes with an impressive array of features including, remote key-free entry, controls mounted onto the steering wheel, a speaker system containing six speakers and a rear spoiler.

For 2013 the Mazda 3 now comes fitted with premium features as standard, and is a front wheel drive small car that comes as either a 5-door hatchback or sedan. One of the best things about the Mazda 3 is the fact that it comes in a number of different engine/transmission arrangements and these include a 2.0 liter engine with a 5 speed manual or automatic transmission, a SKYACTIV-G 2.0 liter engine with a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission. Or there is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder that comes with either a 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual transmissions. Fuel consumption varies from between 20 to 40 miles per gallon and this depends on which engine and transmission combination you select. The premium features included are, a 10 speaker sound system, satellite navigation, leather interior, key-free entry, and climate control that has two zones.

The Mazda 5 is for those people who are looking to move around more people than can fit into a standard car, as it has seating for up to six people. The Mazda 5 is classed as a minivan and is propelled by a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine that provides an impressive 0 to 60 mph time of 8.8 seconds, and front wheel drive is combined with either a 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual gearboxes.

There is no change to the Mazda 6 from last year, it is a medium sized sedan with the capacity to seat five people and the basic model comes with a 2.5 liter engine that produces 167 pounds of torque and 170 hp. For those of you who want a bit more power then you have the option to go for the bigger 3.7 liter engine in a V6 that takes the hp up to 272 and the transmission comes in 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual.

With a newly designed front for 2013, the Mazda MX-5 Miata is a rear wheel drive roadster that comes with either a powered retractable hard roof, or as a soft top. This is a lightweight sports car that comes with a small but powerful 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine, that produces 167 hp and comes with transmissions available as a 5 or 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic with paddle controls. As with all new Mazdas the MX-5 Miata comes with a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty.
