The GMC Sierra 1500 is GMC's equivalent of the popular Chevy Silverado, and is a large sized pickup truck which
has the ability to tow 7,200 pounds. There are three engine sizes to choose from, starting with the basic 4.3 liter
V6 and rising to a 5.3 liter V8, as well as these there is also a 4.8 liter V8 to choose from. Rear wheel drive
comes as standard but 4 wheel drive is an optional extra for all engine sizes and the two smaller engine sizes come
with a 4 speed auto transmission, whereas the 5.3 liter is coupled with a 6 speed automatic transmission.
The features that you could expect to find with the GMC 1500 include 22 inch sized wheels, rear camera to assist
reversing, steering wheel mounted controls and satellite navigation. The Sierra is also available as a Hybrid with
the ability to tow up to 6,100 lbs in weight. Under the hood you will be impressed with the sizeable 6.0 liter
hybrid engine in a V8 configuration that produces 332 hp and it comes with the option to upgrade the standard rear
wheel drive up to 4 wheel drive and is coupled with a 2-speed hybrid transmission. It also features the latest in
high-tech features, such as heated mirrors and a rear mounted camera to aid reverse parking.
The Sierra 2500HD is for the most part unchanged for 2013 and is more suited for heavy duty use as a full-sized
pickup truck, and it can tow an impressive weight load of up to 17,800 lbs. It is capable of towing this amount of
weight thanks to its 6.0 liter V8 configured engine that produces 360 hp, but for even greater performance, GMC
also offer a 6.6 liter turbocharged V8 diesel powered engine which takes the horse power up to a mighty 397. A 6
speed auto transmission can be complemented by an option 4 wheel drive, otherwise rear wheel drive comes as
standard.
Another mostly unaltered GMC pickup truck is the GMC Sierra 3500HD,
another heavy duty full sized truck that
can shift a mighty 22,600 pounds of weight. It is a hard working V8 engine with a 6.0 liter that produces 322 hp
that moves this beast of a truck about, but it doesn't end there as GMC also offers a 6.6 liter V8 engine that is
a turbocharged diesel which takes the horse power up to 397.
GMC also offer a couple of SUVs that include the GMC Terrain which now comes in the Denali trim and can seat
up to five people and it can tow up to 1,500 pounds in weight. Under the hood is a 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine
although a larger 3.0 liter V6 engine for that little bit extra performance. Four wheel drive comes as standard
and there is the option for all wheel drive to be added as well, all controlled by a 6 speed automatic gearbox.
For 2013 the GMC Yukon comes with new paint options for the exterior and this SUV comes with standard and
opulent Denali styling. Both styles come with a hood bursting 5.3 liter V8 engine that produces 320 hp. There is
also the option to swap the standard rear wheel drive with the 4 wheel drive alternative and these are coupled
with an automatic 6 speed gearbox. As with the GMC Terrain, the Yukon comes with features that include leather
seats, powered lift gate, touch screen satellite navigation and an excellent sound system. All GMC trucks and
SUVs come with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty for your peace of mind.
